After graduating from Harvard Law School, Warren began his career working as a criminal prosecutor, where he conducted more than 50 trials, including more than 20 jury trials. Warren now uses this experience to fight for workers and small business owners. 

Warren is admitted to practice in all the state courts in Florida, Michigan, Illinois, and California. Warren is also admitted to practice in many federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida; the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan; and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Examples of the types of matters Warren regularly handles include:

  • Employment Law. Warren’s passionate about handling legal issues related to workplace discrimination and retaliation under Title VII, the ADA, and the ADEA; sexual harassment; wrongful termination; medical leave disputes under the FMLA; and wage disputes under the FLSA and all state law equivalents.
  • Non-Compete and Non-Solicit Agreements. Warren provides legal advice and representation to help his clients navigate the intricacies of non-compete agreements and related disputes. He works tirelessly to protect his client’s interests and ensure that any agreements they enter into are fair, reasonable, and enforceable.
  • Franchise Law. Warren has extensive experience providing legal support to both franchisors and franchisees. He is well-versed in matters concerning franchise agreements and ensuring compliance with franchise laws and regulations.
  • Unpaid Commissions and Bonuses. Warren has helped numerous clients recover unpaid commissions and bonuses. He works diligently to ensure that his clients receive the compensation they rightfully deserve.
  • Partner/Shareholder Disputes. Warren’s a skilled partnership/shareholder dispute attorney who efficiently works to resolve conflicts between business partners or shareholders. He utilizes cutting-edge legal strategies to ensure that the parties come to a just and fair agreement.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

Discrimination, Harassment & Retaliation Cases

  • Successfully obtained a high-six-figure settlement in a single-plaintiff race discrimination, harassment, and retaliation case in Los Angeles, California, involving an employee who was threatened with a noose in a case that was covered by national media.
  • Successfully obtained a mid-six-figure settlement in single-plaintiff disability discrimination, harassment, and retaliation case against a hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, where an employee was terminated because she missed too many days while receiving cancer treatment.
  • Successfully obtained a mid-six-figure settlement in a single-plaintiff sexual harassment and retaliation case in Detroit, Michigan, where the female employee was shown graphic pictures by a male co-worker and was forced to resign by her employer after she complained to management.
  • Successfully obtained a mid-six-figure settlement in a single-plaintiff race discrimination, harassment, and retaliation case in Lansing, Michigan, against one of the state’s largest employers where the employer forced the employee to resign after he complained about race discrimination.

Wage & Hour (Overtime) Cases

  • Successfully obtained a high five-figure settlement in Detroit, Michigan in a case where oil field technician was misclassified as managerial employee and denied overtime pay.
  • Successfully obtained a high five-figure settlement in Detroit, Michigan in a case where construction worker was misclassified as a managerial employee and denied overtime pay.
  • Successfully obtained multiple five-figure settlements in cases in Florida and Michigan where exotic dancers were misclassified as independent contractors and denied overtime pay.

Non-compete, Non-solicitation & Non-disparagement Cases

  • Successfully defended against an injunction in West Palm Beach, Florida where former employer sought to impose a non-solicitation agreement and force former employee to resign from his current employer.
  • Won an injunction hearing in West Palm Beach, Florida where employer was seeking to enforce a non-disparagement agreement against a former employee who was posting disparaging comments about the company on the internet.
